I Don't Know How to Write...I don't know how to write iambic pentameter The sounds just don't register even with all my might And what I write just becomes an awful critter That knaws and bites at my terrible poetic sight. So I am full aware that this doesn't qualify But it is a small attempt to make a grade At least I'm keeping with rhyme, a far cry Rhyme for iambic pentameter? It's a fair trade. So think hard about the comments you give Is this not a creative writing class? Turning in a blank sheet of paper is short lived But a poem nontheless deserves a pass.
